Bible Translation Day: Praying for God’s Word to Reach Every Language

Men celebrating the dedication of the Bible

September 30th marks Bible Translation Day, a day to pause and reflect on the incredible work being done to bring the hope of God’s Word to all people. As we celebrate, let’s not only honor the translators who have dedicated their lives to this mission but also remember those still waiting to hear God speak in their heart language.

The Need is Great, But So Is God’s Power

Today, over a billion people still lack access to the full Bible in their language, and many don’t have even a single verse of Scripture. These numbers are more than statistics; they represent mothers, fathers, children, and entire communities who are waiting for the life-changing power of God’s Word.

Think about the times Scripture has provided comfort, direction, or peace in your life. Imagine what it would be like to go through your darkest moments without the promise of God’s strength in Philippians 4:13 or hearing that Jesus is the way and the truth and the life (John 14:6). This is the reality for millions who don’t have access to His Word.

But together, we can change that.

A Call to Pray

The task of translating the Bible is long and difficult. Translators must overcome cultural, linguistic, and even political barriers. Yet, they continue to persevere, driven by the desire to see their communities transformed by the truth of God’s love. This work requires more than human effort; it requires divine intervention through prayer.

Will you join us in praying for these projects? Pray for the translators who work tirelessly, often in dangerous or difficult conditions, to ensure that every person has access to Scripture. Pray for the hearts of those who will receive God’s Word for the first time, that they may encounter His truth and be forever changed.

Together in Prayer

Our hope is that one day soon, every person will have the opportunity to experience God’s love through His Word. As we look forward to that day, let us continue to pray fervently, believing that God hears us and is moving in ways we cannot yet see. Together, we are part of the generation that can bring His Word to every tribe, tongue, and nation.

Join us in praying for ZERO people without a verse of scripture in their heart language by 2033.
